Pros & Cons

Pros & Cons

  • Thanks to the light TechWALL+ carcass, the risk of punctures is significantly reduced, making this tyre ideal for almost all year round.
  • The all-new SmartEVO rubber compound provides an almost perfect combination of grip, comfort and rolling resistance, even in wet conditions.
  • Pirelli provides very extensive information and recommendations with the P Zero Race TLR so that you can get the most out of this tyre.
  • Innovative SPEEDCORE technology makes this tyre 24% faster than its predecessor.
  • Mounting tubeless tires is generally more difficult and time consuming than the familiar tyre and tube combination.

Fine tyre but the fit is tight, possible hassle in case of a puncture on the road

- Dick 2 June 2026

Fine tyre with great comfort (40mm)

Pros & Cons

Airtight tubeless
Nicely rounded with plenty of grip
Runs light and smooth
Tight fit, tyre lever required

Frustrating and impossible band to put on!

- Robin 28 May 2026

To briefly summarise my experience. NOTHING! 30 minutes of trying to get the tyre on the rim along 1 side of the rim. Having to cram in the inner tube to get the tyre completely on the rim was just mission impossible. I also gave up. In view of possible punctures, this is not the scenario you want to have on a ride.

Pros & Cons

Impossible to get the tyre on the rim!

Definitely worth giving this band a try.

- Dany 20 May 2026

As mentioned, this tyre, especially new, is a bit harder to put on the rim. Which does not mean it is impossible. In the end, it does succeed and immediately seals well. As soon as you ride it, the good roadholding makes itself felt, even on wet roads it is top notch. After a thousand km it hasn't had a puncture yet, so that's probably good too.

Pros & Cons

Fantastic handling, both dry and wet
Puncture resistance is top
A bit more difficult to fit around the rim

Top band

- Willem 20 April 2026

First set of Pirelli for me, but this will be a keeper. Comfortable, fast, great grip in all conditions. Fitting was a challenge (as with any tubeless tyre) but in the end it worked out fine. Finest tyre I have ever ridden.

Pros & Cons

Fast tyre
